Rachael brings extensive experience from award-winning projects across London, Oxfordshire, and Australia. She combines strong project management and attention to detail with a collaborative approach, using lighting as a narrative tool. She is passionate about accessible design, creating spaces that adapt to diverse users.

Katherine joined Purcell in 2025 as an Associate. An AABC-accredited and RIBA Specialist Conservation Architect, she has extensive experience leading conservation and adaptation projects for historic buildings across multiple sectors. She champions the reuse of existing buildings and sees urban constraints as a driver of creativity.

The engineering and consulting firm Hoare Lea specialises in architectural lighting design. Based in Oxford, he has extensive experience in the industry, delivering complex lighting schemes for heritage, high-end hospitality, cultural, and commercial projects. Ben combines technical expertise with creative vision to enhance architectural spaces, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic impact. His work demonstrates a commitment to quality, innovation, and thoughtful design that responds to the unique character of each project.

Matt Waring is the Editor of arc magazine, the world’s leading publication for lighting design in architecture. With a journalism background, he joined [d]arc media in 2017 and quickly immersed himself in the world of lighting design, becoming Editor in 2019. Now, he leads the publication, sourcing, co-ordinating, writing and editing the creative output for the magazine.
